Our weekly digest of news you need to know.
If you have been following our Lithium Index (comes out on Sunday Nights) you know we have had three steady weeks of gains. Last week featured the gains of LAC (again) and SLI.
Standard Lithium SLI
SLI is only getting more and more interesting. Their first sellable product is this month. Let me put this into perspective for you. The United States will have its second domestic source. Can there be a better time? Ford is only held back by chips and then there are so many other EV's waiting to come online. It broke back out last week on the news, and I can only think that this is just the beginning.
Piedmont Lithium PLL
Piedmont Lithium swallowed more operations in Canada. They already had the James Bay, but that is years off. This sent PLL soaring last week. They also submitted their mining plan to Gaston County.
Lithium Americas LAC
Lithium Americas got some more good news. The judge denied the indigenous people's request for an injunction. This is not settled (pardon my exuberance last week), but it is past another hurdle. Even with delays here, their operations in South America are moving along nicely.
Orocobre (Alkem) OROCF
Back to work for these guys. The merger with Galaxy Resources allowed Orocobre, who is a hard rock miner and Galaxy who is doing solar evaporation to share expertise. This is where this is brilliant. Remember, Orocobre got a deal with Toyota a few years ago. Before you say anything, I know, they are very late to school.
